The Space Between the Facts
A message ends with a period instead of an exclamation point. Someone takes longer than usual to respond. A familiar expression changes for half a second. Very little has actually happened, yet the mind can build an entire explanation around the smallest piece of incomplete information.
Observe today what appears in the space between what you know and what you assume. Notice how memory, expectation, fear, and desire can enter that space before more information arrives. The resulting interpretation may feel indistinguishable from observation because both are happening inside the same field of perception. Uncertainty rarely stays empty for long. We tend to populate it with whatever is already available within us.
